Adult Education/GED
The Basic Skills Department
- provides a variety of
learner-centered educational opportunities designed to improve basic
educational skills
- enhance career opportunities through college
enrollment, increase workforce literacy skills
- enrich the life
skills of the people we serve.
The programs include:
- standard adult education and GED preparation
classes
- basic literacy classes
- Families First classes
- English as a
Second Language (ESL) classes
- GED practice test
All classes are
FREE of charge and are conducted at Chattanooga State’s main campus,
East campus and a variety of other locations throughout Hamilton County.
Classes are conducted at a variety of days, times, and
locations, with both day and evening classes available. The program is open to adults 17 years of age and older.
