Most Federal aid is need-based and requires you to demonstrate that your family income is within certain levels to qualify for federal assistance. To maximize your award possibilities complete documentation as soon after January 1 as possible.
STEP 1: Acquire a Personal Identification Number
STEP 2: Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
STEP 3: Apply for Chattanooga State Scholarships
STEP 4: Apply to Chattanooga State & declare a major in an eligible degree or certificate
STEP 5: Verify information on your Student Aid Report (SAR)
STEP 6: Check on the status of your Financial Aid application
STEP 7: Provide additional information if necessary
STEP 8: Review your award letter
STEP 9: Enroll and Pay Your Fees
STEP 10: Financial Aid Refund Checks
