WACKER Institute Admissions Process

  1. Complete your admissions file by submitting the following:
    • Admissions application. Initially, choose Engineering Technology, Chemical Engineering Technology or Industrial Systems Engineering Technology concentration as your major. This will translate to Chattanooga State that you are interested in the WACKER Institute. You may change your major after you meet with your academic advisor.
    • ACT or Compass Scores. Schedule placement testing (if applicable).
    • High school (or GED scores) and college transcripts (if applicable)
    • Applicable health forms (MMR documentation and Hepatitis B Form)
  2. Apply for Financial Aid by Completing Financial Aid Application online at www.fafsa.edu
  3. Complete On-line Orientation
  4. Upon completion of your admissions file, contact the WACKER Institute academic advisor, Amanda Bennett, at 423-697-2496 or et_advising@chattanoogastate.edu to complete an application to the WACKER Institute. She will discuss the requirements of the program and prepare your educational plan. Amanda Bennett is located in the Center for Advanced Technology Building, room C55A.
  5. Register for classes
  6. Pay your fees and obtain your payment confirmation number. (If you do not obtain a confirmation number, the fee payment step has not been completed and your schedule may be deleted for non-payment)
  7. Visit Student Center to obtain:
    • Photo ID – Room 218
    • Parking Permit – Room 140
    • Bookstore – Room 105
