Transferring to UTCUTC accepts college level course from Chattanooga State as indicated below. Elective credit is assigned when UTC has no equivalent or the individual department wishes to evaluate the credit. Grades will transfer as earned at Chattanooga State. Please keep in mind that 60 semester hours of work toward the bachelor's degree must be completed at a university, and the last 30 hours must be completed at UTC. UTC is currently revising the general education requirements as well as the requirements for a degree in engineering. The information below is the current information available as of April 1, 2000. The equivalent courses shown below is not a complete list of all courses that will transfer, but a list of courses that are applicable to the engineering programs offered at UTC. Fine Arts Engineering majors must take one of the following:
Behavioral and Social SciencesEngineering majors must take Economics I and Economics II, or two approved behavioral science courses for a total of 6 hours. Some engineering programs require the economic courses.
Natural Sciences
* Chemical and environmental engineering majors Mathematics
