Associate of Science Degree Students in the Pre-Engineering program at Chattanooga State may earn an Associate of Science Degree. However, it is not necessary to get the Associate of Science Degree prior to transferring to a university. Many universities will transfer courses on a course-by-course basis. If a student wishes to pursue an Associate of Science degree, it is important that the courses selected meet the requirements of both Chattanooga State and the university to which the student is transferring. It is possible that not all courses required by Chattanooga State for the Associate of Science degree will be accepted or needed by the university. It is the student's responsibility to determine if courses will transfer to the desired university. The student's advisor at Chattanooga State will help if necessary. All Chattanooga State students are encouraged to complete the Associate of Science Degree prior to continuing their education elsewhere.
