Associate degrees in Engineering Technology (Civil & Construction Engineering Tech. concentrations) will now transfer to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga into the B.S. Construction management program in the College of Engineering and Computer Science. Chattanooga State graduates who complete the A.A.S. degree in Engineering Technology can enter UTC as a junior and complete their B.S. degree.

The "2+2" program in Construction Management is designed to prepare civil and construction engineering technicians for promotion into supervisory/management roles where a bachelors degree is required or desirable for advancement.  After transferring to UTC, students will take courses in the following areas:

  • Civil & Construction Engineering
  • Engineering Economy
  • Accounting
  • Marketing
  • Finance
  • Management
  • Mathematics
  • Additional General Education required for a B.S. degree.
IMPORTANT REMINDER:

It is important that you contact an Engineering Technology Department advisor to ensure you register for the correct Chattanooga State courses.  Some differences in Engineering Technology degree programs may not fully transfer.  An advisor will be able to help you select the right courses.  Advisors can be found by clicking on a program link or by calling us at the number below.
