                        Chemical Engineering Technology Concentration

Program Overview:

Upon successful completion of the A.A.S. in Engineering Technology – Chemical Engineering Technology concentration, graduates will possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to make an intelligent entry into the chemical manufacturing industry. Students will gain an understanding of chemistry and chemical processes as well as blueprint reading, electrical and mechanical fundamentals, and computer skills. Emphasis is placed upon the understanding and troubleshooting of process systems. The program combines classroom study and practical hands-on-experience. The courses in the program emphasize safe and efficient work practices, teamwork, communication skills, and real-world case studies.

  • Chemical Laboratory Technician (Analytics)

Students may also earn embedded certificates in:

  • Process Operator Technology (24 semester credit hours)
  • Advanced Process Technology (17 semester credit hours)
  • Chemical Laboratory Technology (22 semester credit hours)
