The Building & Construction Institute of the Southeast (BCIS) provides a multitude of training options available for anyone interested in pursuing a career in an industry that continues to expand locally.
For ‘down and dirty’ training, leading to a quick transition to employment, the Tennessee College of Applied Technology offers training in masonry work, plumbing and building construction technology that can be completed in only three semesters. A portion of the hours earned in these programs can be transferred to earn an associate degree in construction management.
With the investment of a little more time, an A.A.S. in civil engineering technology paves the way for employment in a critical supporting role as an engineering technician aiding the work of a civil engineering.
If you want more in-depth training, earning an associate of applied science degree in construction management or construction engineering technology offers the option of a hassle free transition to earn a B.S. degree at UTC though the 2+2 program.
