Extensive training in mechanical design, manufacturing processes, creation and utilization of mechanical power, thermal sciences and computer-aided drafting (CAD) and design are the core elements graduates acquire from their studies.
Those who choose to enter the workforce are ready to become mechanical engineering technicians, engineering assistants, mechanical designers, plant engineering technicians and engineering materials lab technicians.
Graduates who plan to continue their education can transfer to Tennessee Technological University to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology. Classes are held locally at the VW Academy.
