The home inspection profession is a great way to become an independent business person. If you are already in the home inspection business or just starting, Chattanooga State's Office of Continuing Education has what many proclaim to be the best home inspection course in the country. This course is taught by Tony Brueneman of the Home Inspection Institute. Tony has been described as the Norm Abrams of home inspection. Information provided during the training will include the tools, techniques, ethics as well as information about residential construction and mechanical systems needed for a home inspection business. Students also will learn about report writing, legal liability, contracts, and marketing as well as business start-up information. This course is approved by the State of Tennessee as meeting all of their course requirements. Unlike some courses this is a combination of 90 hours of classroom and seven (7) actual home inspections. This is a face-to-face and hands-on course with real inspections and not virtual inspections.
