Chattanooga State offers classes in a wide range of construction training, including lineworker training, residential contractor training, home inspection, code review classes, blueprint reading, construction management, and facility and grounds/facility services. Electric Lineworker Program - View Course Catalog
Chattanooga State works with the Southeast Lineworker Training Center and certifies their Electric Lineworker Program. The ELP is an intensive, physically demanding program that teaches participants the skills and knowledge to work for utility companies and contractors.
Limited Residential Contractor Licensing Course - View Course Catalog
In this 30-hour course, participants will review the license application process, the International Building Code, an introduction to Tennessee construction law, legal and financial issues, accounting practices, loans, liens, and insurance. Participants will learn how to read blueprints, build to specifications, and adhere to codes and regulations. Successful completion of this class exempts applicants from taking the contractor licensing exam if they want to obtain a limited residential contractor license (BC-Ar).

Construction Management Certificate - View Course Catalog
This series of courses are designed to assist construction workers and small business contractors develop those needed and valuable skills to help them advance in the construction industry or become successful business owners. A Continuing Education Construction Management Certificate will be awarded to participants completing all courses.
Construction Project Estimating Program - View Course Catalog
A comprehensive (must take all) four-part program that will increase your knowledge of construction project estimating. Includes four courses: Introduction to Estimating, Quantity Take-off of Practice Problems, Pricing the Estimate, and Bidding and Pricing Strategies.
Basic Building, Grounds, and Facilities Services Certificate/NAA CAMT® - View Course Catalog
This is a series of courses designed for individuals employed by a local housing authority, apartment complexes, rental home owners, or individuals that want to learn more about general maintenance around their own home. Completion of the series results in the awarding of a certificate of completion in Basic Building, Grounds, and Facilities Maintenance Services.
Advanced Building, Grounds, and Facilities Services Certificate/CAMTII® - View Course Catalog
This is a series of advanced courses designed for individuals employed by a local housing authority, apartment complexes, rental home owners, or individuals that want to learn more about general maintenance around their own home. Completion of the series results in the awarding of a certificate of completion in Advanced Building, Grounds, and Facilities Maintenance Services.
Home Inspection - View Course Catalog
This course will include the tools, techniques, ethics, and information about residential construction and mechanical systems needed for a home inspection business. Students will also learn about report writing, legal liability, contracts, and marketing as well as business start-up information.
