The Information Security Certificate is designed for the IT Professionals who wants to enhance and expand their expertise in the area of Information Security. With the increase of networks and the enhanced web presence of most businesses, there is a need for highly qualified professionals to be able to protect companies from the constant attacks of computer hackers.   • Firewalls and Virtual Private Networks (VPN's) - Designing, configuring and implementing technology to protect companies from outside attacks and securing access to their internal networks.
  • Operating System Security - Learn to properly analyze, install and implement processes to assure that operating systems are locked down from potential vulnerabilities of attacks.
  • Wireless Security - Design, configure, install and implement technology and processes to provide secure wireless access to networks.
  • Computer Security & Penetration Testing - Students will learn how to assure that networks have appropriate security and learn how to design, implement, test and assure that attacks will be reduce and or eliminated.
  • Computer Forensics - Students will gain the basic understanding of computer forensics.
  • Incident and Disaster Recovery - Students will learn how to properly analyze, design and implement a disaster recovery policy and plan to assure that businesses' data is properly protected in case of a disaster. They will also learn on to establish an Incident policy for proper escalation, documentation, investigation and resolution of security incidents that take place on networks.
