BUSINESS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES DIVISION
The Business and Information Systems Division is geared to providing degrees and certificates to meet the needs of this regions workforce. We do this by providing a wide variety of two-year degree programs and one-year certificates. We divide our broad focus into three departments. The following list includes the degrees and certificates provided by each department:
Business Department
- Accounting - For students seeking a career in Accounting.
- General Management - For students seeking a position as a first line supervisor.
- Entrepreneurship - For students who want to start and operate a business.
- Office Management - For students who want to develop the skills needed to work as an administrative professional in an office environment.
- Paralegal Studies For students seeking to provide research for lawyers.
- Construction Management For trained construction workers seeking careers as managers in this industry.
- Health Services Management For trained health care professionals seeking to move into the management of healthcare.
- Applied Technology: Management For people who have completed a Tennessee Technology Center program or a union apprenticeship and now want to move into supervision.
- Applied Technology: Education - For people who have completed a
Tennessee Technology Center program or a union apprenticeship who are
teaching or would like to teach in a Tennessee Technology Center, a high
school technology program, or in a proprietary school.
Information Systems Department
- Programming For students seeking a career as a computer programmer.
- Network Management For students who are interested in helping computers work together.
- End User Support For students who want to provide support for computer users.
- RealTime Reporting For students seeking careers as court reporters, CART captioners, or closed captioners for television.
Media Technologies
- Graphic Design For students interested in advertising or the print business.
- Web Design For students who want to build web pages either as an independent consultant or in a large corporation.
- Media Technology (proposal to change name to Mass Communications in process) For students interested in technical careers in radio, television, or public communications.
Transfer Students
