Journalism Throughout American history journalists have been both revered and reviled for reporting current events, writing feature stories, or expressing their opinions in editorial pieces. Since the Watergate scandal in the 1970s, investigative journalism has a staple of the journalist profession spanning across various media platforms.

Journalism students will acquire the skills needed to meet the demands of the modern journalistic profession. The program focuses on current trends in converged media and social media. Students are train through a combination of lectures, labs, practice exercises, and internships. The ultimate goal is to prepare graduates to continue their education or begin a career in either the blogging, television, magazine or newspaper industry.
