Upon
completion of 1,290 Clock Hours, students will receive a diploma
from the Tennessee Technology Center. This is a builder's program
and the areas of instruction will focus on the core of residential
construction (carpentry, introduction to masonry, plumbing and
electricity).
Training Competencies
Students
who complete the Construction Technology Program may choose to
continue their education at Chattanooga State by enrolling in either
the AAS in Construction Management (Specialist) or an AAS in Applied
Technology (Generalist). Both AAS degree programs offer advanced
placement of 24-30 semester hours respectively toward a 60 semester
hour degree.
Now is a great time to start training for the one of the largest
industries in our area and in the country. The program is designed
for the beginner or the person with some knowledge who desires to
advance their skills. We're excited to offer a new work-based
learning component to the program where a student can work in the
discipline and earn additional clock hours toward their diploma.
