Respiratory Care Admissions Checklist
Like all Nursing and Allied Health programs, admission into the Respiratory Care program is a competitive process. The prospective student must:- Submit a completed application to the Chattanooga State Admissions Office, along with the application fee if you are a new student at Chattanooga State.
- Provide official transcripts to the Admissions Office and to the Allied Health Application Coordinator. (Transcript request form)
- Take the ACT, SAT, or COMPASS, if applicable.
- Submit a completed Allied Health Application form. This form is available at the Nursing/Allied Health Division Office (Albright Omniplex, room O-92), by mail or by phoning (423) 697-4450, and online. Directions for submission are included on the form. The deadline for receiving your application to include you in the selection process is May 15.
- Take the Health Occupations Basic Entrance Test (HOBET). For priority consideration, prospective respiratory care students must take this examination before May 15. Both the computerized and paper/pencil versions of the HOBET will be accepted.
