Admission Information
After meeting the requirements for admission to Chattanooga State, a student seeking admission to the Health Information Management program must also have completed high school or have a GED, and complete the following:
- Read the Admission Checklist in the program brochure
- Complete all required transitional studies classes prior to enrolling in the Health Information Management program. Placement in transitional studies courses is based on your ACT/SAT scores or your COMPASS Placement scores.
- Submit the following items to the Allied Health Applications Coordinator in one packet: the Allied Health Application, official transcripts from all colleges previously attended. Please do not ask the Chattanooga State Admission Office to forward a copy of your transcript to Allied Health. (Transcript Request form)
- Take the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS). Click here for information about TEAS.
- Participate in a personal academic planning session with the Allied Health Advisor or a program faculty member.
