FIRE SCIENCE TECHNOLOGY

Today's Emergency workers are highly trained professionals whose ultimate goal is the preservation of life and property. Because of the diversity and complexity of emergency service work, formal education is playing an increasingly important role in the emergency service field.

All Fire Science Technology students complete the General Education and Technical Core courses. Then students complete courses in one or more of the three areas of concentration: Fire Suppression, Emergency Service Supervision & Administration (ESSA), Emergency Medical Care (EMC).

Fire science majors complete their degree through online learning. The fire science technical core courses, ESSA concentration courses, and FSUP concentration courses are available online. The general education courses are available either online or in a traditional classroom. Distance education is a wonderful way for busy working adults to complete their degree. However to successfully complete these types of courses you must have internet access, email, and perseverance.
