Admission Process
Admission to the Dental Hygiene Program is a competitive process. Selection into the program is based on a comparative analysis of test scores, transcripts, interviews and other application materials. Transcript information considered by the selection committee includes grade point average and courses completed. Students seeking admission into the Dental Hygiene Program may begin to take prerequisite and general education courses prior to acceptance into the program. This includes all courses other than those with a "DH" prefix in the Dental Hygiene Program of Study in the catalog.
The deadline for submission for all application requirements is the first Monday in February of every year. Only candidates meeting the deadline will be considered for admission. To receive a brochure and application materials please contact the Nursing and Allied Health Division (423) 697-4450. Please plan to attend an information session prior to applying to the program.
