Health Information Management Admission Information

In addition to meeting the requirements for admission to Chattanooga State, a student seeking admission to the Health Information Management program must also have completed high school or have a GED, and complete the following:

Complete all required transitional studies classes prior to enrolling in the Health Information Management program. Placement in transitional studies courses is based on your ACT/SAT scores or your COMPASS Placement scores.
Complete the Allied Health Application form.
Submit official transcripts from all colleges previously attended to the Allied Health Applications Coordinator. Please do not ask the Chattanooga State Admission Office to forward a copy of your transcript to Allied Health. (Transcript Request form)
Take the HOBET. (HOBET Registration form)
Participate in a personal academic planning session with the Allied Health Advisor or a program faculty member.
