Admission
Process
Admission
into the Professional Actor Training Program is by
interview and audition.
To apply, please send
application, a photo
(snapshot is okay), and resume (list theatre and related
classes you've taken and productions.) We will contact
you to schedule an interview and audition. For the
audition, you should prepare one contemporary monologue,
no more than three minutes in length. The monologue
should be within your age range.
For those who are not able to audition on campus, you
may submit an audition on video tape. Use VHS format
(NTSC). The tape should include two contrasting
monologues no more than two minutes each in length. In
addition, tape about three minutes of yourself answering
the question: "Why are you applying to this particular
school?" Video tapes will not be returned.
We audition on a rolling admission basis. You will know
our decision two weeks after your audition. If you are
accepted into the program, you will complete the
standard admissions process at Chattanooga State.
Auditions will continue until the class is filled.
