Kevin Maxfield is a native of Chattanooga.  He obtained both Associate and Bachelor of Science degrees and has attended Chattanooga State Technical Community College, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and Middle Tennessee State University.  He is currently enrolled in the M.B.A. program at U.T.C.  Kevin's experience includes five years of small business ownership in multiple organizational structures including sole proprietorship and L.L.C.  He has three additional years of supervisory and management experience in large corporations.  He has eight years of one-on-one and group training experience in the areas of production processes, inventory management and point of sale systems.  In addition to his management positions, Kevin served as a member of several planning and process implementation teams, as well as audit teams.  He also has experience in sales processes and customer service best practices, and has worked in the areas of shipping, receiving, accounting and human resource management.      (back to top)

Pat Mahaffey joined the Small Business Development Center in November of 2000. She is our Office Manager and comes to us from the Chattanooga State, Continuing Education Department where she was the Learning Center Specialist. Pat was with Olan Mills for thirteen years as a Technical Secretary in Research and Development, Human Resources Assistant, and Scheduler in the Church Division.  Pat was also with the City of Chattanooga’s Treasurer’s office for seven years.  She is a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area. She attended Chattanooga High School and Chattanooga State. (back to top)
