STUDENT / ALUMNI
The Placement Center at Chattanooga State offers assistance to students and alumni in securing permanent employment. Students graduating during the academic year should contact the Center to schedule an orientation appointment. During the orientation time, information is provided about the services of the Center and the necessary forms to be completed for registration.
- The Center maintains placement files on students via the
e-recruiting automated
placement management system.
- To have a file created, students register with the Center at the beginning of the semester prior to their graduation.
- Files are maintained for review by companies in hiring Chattanooga State graduates and are transmitted at the employer's request.
- Students may also request that files be forwarded to employers.
- The Center also provides a job bank of current part-time
and full-time employment listings. The file is constantly updated and is available to all
students.
- Information on resume writing, interview skills, and job
search techniques is available from the Center.
Job-search resources include books, video tapes
and seminars.
- Workshops and special events are also services of the Center.
- Job Search Workshops are offered at various times each semester without charge.
- Career Days during which employers are invited on campus to speak with students are held in the fall and spring semesters.
Dates and times for these events may be obtained by contacting the Placement and Cooperative Education Center.
