An introductory class in creative writing techniques, this class will focus on various elements of creative writing common to fiction, poetry, drama, and even creative non-fiction. The class will emphasize practical applications of these creative techniques, particularly in short fiction.

Students will also analyze and discuss their own works and analyze, discuss, and critique representative works by writers, traditional and contemporary.
