Duties of Chapter Officers

President
 
     The President presides over all officer and general membership meetings; appoints members to all committees; votes in case of a tie only; serves as an ex-officio member of all committees; represents the chapter at all times; and works with the chapter advisors and other officers.   The President is responsible for planning the program for Fall and Spring Induction Ceremonies.

Vice President, Scholarship

     The Vice President, Scholarship assumes the duties of the president in the absence of the president; coordinates the work of all chapter committees; works with an advisor to develop and implement activities related to the Honors Study Topic; and pre sides at all activities related to the Honors Study Topic.  The Vice President, Scholarship is responsible for the Scholarship Hallmark essay and entry package.

Vice President, Leadership

      The Vice President, Leadership, conducts orientations for prospective members, and attends SGA meetings to coordinate chapter activities with other campus organizations. The Vice President, Leadership is responsible for the Leadership Hallmark Essay and entry package. 

Vice President, Service

      The Vice President, Service works with an advisor to plan and implement chapter activities related to the International Service Project, Project Graduation, and any other chapter service activities.  The Vice President, Service is responsible for the Service Hallmark essay and entry package. 

Vice President, Fellowship

      The Vice President, Fellowship coordinates Fall and Spring Induction refreshments, plans fundraising and fellowship activities for the chapter.  The Vice President, Fellowship is responsible for the Fellowship Hallmark essay and entry package. 

Vice President, Communications

      The Vice President, Communications works with a chapter advisor to update the chapter website, promotes chapter activities, keeps minutes of chapter meetings, and is responsible for the chapter scrapbook. 

      All officers must attend the TN Regional Leadership Conference in July 2006 (date and time to be announced) plus 1 other regional meeting.  A new officer orientation and planning session will be scheduled for early summer and each officer will be required to attend.   Each officer is also responsible for attending Chapter officer meetings 2 times a month.  Officers will be assigned one general meeting per month.
