Programs

The Commercial Truck Driving program is a 7-week program that trains students to drive commercial trucks, focusing on driving skills, safe operating practices and proper record keeping.  Students earn a technical certificate of proficiency upon completion.

The Welding program prepares students for a wide variety of welding opportunities in the work place.  students earn a technical certificate upon completion of the program.

Courses applicable toward an Associate of Applied Science degree- these courses are designed to prepare students to enter the workforce. Although this degree is designed for students who do not intend to pursue a Bachelor’s degree, many of the required courses are transferable.

Courses applicable toward an Associate of Arts or an Associate of Science degree-these courses prepare students to transfer to four-year institutions. Chattanooga State students are able to complete the first two years of a Bachelor’s degree in a wide range of majors.
