About the Logo
The new logo for the Meacham Writers' Workshop serves to demonstrate the Meacham as forward thinking in its desire to bring together writers and readers to create an informal atmosphere where everyone can freely and equally exchange ideas, works, and readings. The top section of the design reflects a writer's quill, and the bottom section of the design recreates a book's end. The two sections combine with the letter "M" to suggest progression and achievement. Additionally, the font used is Centaur, a modern classic, which suggests a combination of old wisdom and modern creation. Also, the color is Pantone 2757 Blue which provides a sense of elegance and vibrant expression. Overall, this logo brings Meacham a fresh and welcoming look, declaring the Meacham Writers' Workshop is for everyone.

Additionally, Miao-Ju designed the Enchanting Taiwan poster for the Enchanting Taiwan photo exhibit co-sponsored by the Taipei Economic & Cultural Office (TECO) of Taiwan (Atlanta, Georgia) and the City of Chattanooga Office of Multicultural Affairs. Miao-Ju greatly enjoys being a graphic designer, and thereby possessing the ability to provide an organization with a true and permanent representation of its essence.
From 2002 through 2007, Miao-Ju attended the Meacham readings and came to see that the Meacham Writers Workshop is a rare event which allows both writers and readers to come together to share their opinions and passion about writing. Therefore, she felt that she needed to assist the Meacham via her logo in demonstrating that there is no other writers conference like it anywhere.
