This program of study involves combination welding, as well as other technical aspects of welding. The processes that will be accomplished are:

  • basic oxyacetylene cutting and welding

  • shielded metal arc welding

  • metal arc welding

  • tungsten inert gas welding

    student welding

    In addition, the student will complete course work in:

  • mathematics

  • blueprint reading for welding

    Note: This competency based program is designed to be completed in one year (1290 clock hours). Students register for WD 000 each term until all competencies are mastered. Some students may need more than 1290 clock hours in order to achieve the level of competency required to receive the certificate.

    While it is our goal to place each student in a job at graduation, employment is not guaranteed.
