Sex Crimes Prevention Act

The "Campus Sex Crimes Prevention Act" is federal legislation enacted on October 28, 2000 that is composed of three parts:

1.) a state reporting requirement;

2.) an amendment to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crimes Statistics Act; and,

3.) an amendment to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

Information concerning reporting and reports of sex offenders on campus is housed in the Chattanooga State Technical Community College Security Office.
