NETWORK MANAGEMENT CONCENTRATION
The Associate of Applied Science in Information Systems with a
concentration in Network Management
will prepare perspective I.T.
professionals to meet the needs of businesses in the community and beyond.
The Network Management concentration can be taken by the person who has
never worked with a computer network to someone who is in the field but has
never received a degree in the area. This concentration prepares the student
to become knowledgeable in the areas of:
- Designing, configuring and implementing computer networks
- PC Troubleshooting – Hardware and the Desktop Operating System
- Building, configuring and administering Microsoft 2003 and 2008 file servers
- Becoming knowledgeable in the areas of the Fundamentals of Network
Security, Firewalls and Virtual Private Networks (VPN’s), Web Server
configuration and implementations area on how to investigate Information
theft, computer forensics is a vital part of that process.
