Nuclear Medicine Technology Admission Information
Program Options
Students may attend the program at CSTCC as a traditional or non-traditional student. The primary difference between the two is that non-traditional students may be paid for clinic hours, traditional students may not.To qualify as a non-traditional student applicants must document proof of 2 years full-time employment in a nuclear medicine department. Documentation of employment must meet the following criteria:
- The hospital where full-time employment was obtained must demonstrate a wide variety and volume of procedures to ensure reasonable clinic training in accordance with our approved clinic sites.
- The final decision as to whether an applicant qualifies as a non-traditional student is made by the program director.
- Non-traditional students must maintain full-time status in Nuclear Medicine at an approved clinical affiliate and meet all clinical competency requirements before graduation from the program.

- Print and complete the following forms:
- Submit high school, Radiologic Technology Program and all other college transcripts
to the address below then verify with Application Coordinator/Program Director the receipt of any
transcript and/or transfer credit.

- Submit ARRT score report. (If admitted into the program as a
registry-eligible applicant, the applicant must pass and submit the score before the
beginning of the Spring semester.)
- Submit all Nuclear Medicine Technology application materials
(program application, observation form, personal reference form,
academic reference form, clinical reference form, transcripts, ARRT
scores) to the following address.

Application Deadlines
The application deadline for priority consideration for the fall semester class is April 15 . Any lacking prerequisites must be complete by the start of the fall semester.Applicants who apply by this deadline will get priority placement for clinic sites. Applicants who apply after the April 15 deadline will be placed based on clinic availability.
Each applicant will be evaluated on the basis of previous high school, college and Radiologic Technology Program achievement; the score from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology Program examination (ARRT)(R), completion of all prerequisites, and a personal interview. Selection of applicants for the program is based upon recommendation for acceptance by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Program Selection Committee. Composition of the class will reflect diversity based on age, gender and race. Qualified Radiologic Technologists are given priority over alternate eligibility applicants. Applicants accepted into the program will be notified by June 15.
Final acceptance is contingent upon the results of a physical examination, a drug screening, acceptance by a clinical site, personal interview, and completion of all prerequisites.
