According to Dr. Dan Throgmorton, Vice President of Economic & Community Development, “Michelle’s dedication to and understanding of families on welfare is unsurpassed.” Her experience involves working from a policy level with at-risk families in at least three states. Her work as a student advocate and policy maker put her in a unique position to fill gaps that often exist among these groups. Kasandra
Sneed has an Associates Degree in Human Service Specialist from CSTCC. She
has been trained as a certified facilitator in survival skills for Women,
Parent Project and PACE curriculum all of which empower AHEAD students to
move forward. She has past experience and training in counseling those with
self-destructive addictions. In the past ten years she has gained experience
working with at risk adults and families. Over the past three years she has
diligently given of herself in the classroom and on a one-on-one basis to
the students that have come to Project AHEAD. Tammy
Hostetter is a mentor/instructor who is a Human Service Specialist graduate
from Chattanooga State. She is working towards her Bachelor’s of Social Work
degree under the Chattanooga State/Southern Adventist University
collaboration. She has worked with the AHEAD Program for over two years
assisting clients in choosing manageable class schedules, work study
positions and math tutoring.AHEAD Good News…
