The AHEAD Program has meant the world to me. I never would have even envisioned the idea of going back to school five years ago. It’s been a real second chance for me. At forty-six, I can now take that extra step and fulfill my dreams. I had lots of stop-jobs that became careers because I was always afraid that I wouldn’t be able to pay the bills. Now I don’t think about those things. I believe in God and thank Him for the fact that I have the opportunity to go back to school. I know that the bills will always get paid! AHEAD is like a fountain of youth for me. It’s given me the opportunity to finish the goals I set for myself when I was young. One day I will be able to make a difference. It will be because I got AHEAD.
